Originally from Riga, Latvia, Yana considers herself a true New Yorker, and started her career at The Bank of New York. She was on the marketing and employee comms team during the merger with Mellon Corp. and played a pivotal role in merging the two cultures into what became BNY Mellon.
Later, Yana worked at Mount Sinai Health Systems, where she was responsible for the creative and technical teams delivering a major site redesign and launch.
Her versatility and marketing experience helped her become the CMO at Axelon / JobDiva – two global firms in the staffing services industry. As CMO she was responsible for all marketing and branding initiatives and managed teams and agencies across the world.
Yana received the Editor’s Choice Women in IT Award Nomination and Woman of the Year Golden Bridge Award in 2019.
As an active Forbes contributor, Yana writes about future of work, AI and automation, Corporation Social Responsibility (CSR), and workforce development.
Yana holds a Bachelor’s in Film from Brooklyn College, and a Master’s in Finance from Mercy College.
